I love the T-bow, so much so that I bought 17 of them! They stack one on top of each other and take up surprisingly little space in my back bedroom. I'm only reminded of them when I need to change the bed. When the mood is upon me I drag them out and take them to my Pilates classes. They add interest and make normal Pilates exercises much more challenging. My classes love them and so do I. When not in use they stack neatly in a corner.
But now there is a rival on the market - cue the spooky music - the WAVE has arrived!
The Firms Wave is similar to the T-Bow, it's shape is slightly different and it's made by the Firm a company in the USA whereas the T-Bow is made and manufactured in Switzerland.
So what's the difference between them?
1. The T-Bow is a single, curved piece of heavy duty plastic, the WAVE is braced to give it strength. They are similar in size and shape, with the T- Bow being slightly less bulky and slightly easier to handle and carry. The T-Bow will stack with others, and the WAVE won't - however this is not a problem unless you need to store a lot of them.
2. When it comes to price there is a big difference! The T-Bow will set you back over $200 when you include international shipping whereas the Wave is just under $100.
3. With the Wave you get a stack of extras included in the price. A wall chart showing you the basic moves, several DVD's which take you through basic to advanced exercises (Cardio, Strength and Fat Blasting). The T-Bow by comparison only comes with a wall chart and a small booklet.
4. Both can be used with elastic exercise bands, neither offers the bands as standard. However flexibands are inexpensive and can be bought from any sports store - in my opinion you don't need to buy specialised (and expensive) exercise bands.
As pieces of home exercise equipment I think they are both fantastic and if used will help you to lose fat and tone muscle. My vote would have to go to the Wave, although I prefer the T-Bow it's additional cost for the average home user isn't really justified. - 16463
