Detox diets having been growing in popularity very the past year as they have been a natural solution to eliminating waste and toxins that are built up in the body from all of the processed foods we are normally consuming. Going on a detox normally suggests that you start consuming more fresh vegetables, fruits and beans while cutting down on sugar, caffeine and alcohol.

So basically the idea behind a detox diet is to avoid temporarily the foods that are known to produce toxins. Most detox diets also encourages you to go through colonic irrigation or enema to flush out toxins inside the colon. It is done to purify and purge your body from all the bad stuff.
