Where Can You Send Green Roses On Sale

By Isis Nouvelle

One of the most exquisite roses available is the green rose. It is believed that they have been grown since 1743. They were brought on the market by Bembridge and Harrison of Great Britain in 1856 and enjoyed instant popularity. What is different about green roses besides color is the fact that the flowers are mostly sepals instead of petals. It's as if the plant had the petals bred out of them and grew more sepals to compensate.

It used to be when you heard the name St. Patrick you would think of shamrocks and leprechauns and a parade in March. Now gardeners have something else in mind and when they hear St. Patrick they think of green roses. You may never have seen a green rose in your browsing through nurseries and garden centers but they do come in a variety of shapes and shades.

Some types of green roses are very unlikely to come by. These green roses are rare but sometimes can be found if one looks to the right florist, and just has some luck. These green roses are hybrids, made from a lot of different people from all over the world.

The sepals of these roses are similar to leaves which surround the buds before they open and thus provide protection. Then they eventually separate to enable the blossoms to emerge and show their lovely colors and finally detach entirely so that the flower's petals can unfurl.

The sepals are usually the part which is a very beautiful component of these flowers, it usually occurs if the soft ends grow wider above the top part of the bloom. If they go down, it allow the petals to then unwrap, which in turn create a wonderful ornamental foundation to a flower that is quite beautiful.

You might find much beauty in nearly all parts of the rose, but most people think the perfection as far as rose blooms are concerned is its petals: color, arrangement, essence, and scent. Everyone likes getting rose bouquets, no matter what color they may be.
