Presidential Weight Loss Tips? I Dont Think So!

By Henry John

Right now, its very unlikely that the 44th President of the United States is thinking of dishing out weight loss advice to the nation! He has, perhaps more than any other President, got more on his mind that the weight of the nation...or should he?

The health of the nation covers many things. The nations financial health will be his top priority. The current Band Aid will have to be removed and some more drastic surgery performed before that aspect of the nations health is restored to anything near normal.

What of the physical health of the nation? Is the country of which he is now President in radiant health? Well no, its not. Its in a pretty bad way. More and more people are overweight or obese than ever before. It would be true to say that the nation is not able to function as well as it could.

If you cant perform properly you cant deliver what the nation - and your family - need from you. Whats more you are compromising your ability to enjoy your life and keep disease free.

All is not lost because in the new President we have an example that we should take note of. He keeps himself fit and exercises every day. He eats well and looks after himself. If he can do it shouldnt we try and do the same thing?

Does he have any big secret that hes not letting on? Not really, except he is very self-aware and he is very self-disciplined. These qualities are not exclusive to him, they are available to us all.

He has also developed some very good habits and these have helped him to manage his life successfully. Habits are so important, but we too often allow ourselves to have such a low self-awareness that bad habits dictate how we live our lives.

We can all be fit and healthy like the new President. We can say goodbye to diets and achieve permanent weight loss. What we have to do is to learn new habits " slim habits. By learning new habits we can change. When we do well be able to live life to the full and make our contribution to the new nation count. - 16463
