Four Ideas to Help You Stick to Your New Years' Resolutions

By Jay The Sneak Schultz

Check yourself out, how is 2009 now?

Did you procrastinate tasks or just flat out gave up?

I'm not singling you out. Last year I faced the same tough questions...and found some answers that gave me the breakthroughs I'd always been missing:

First thing to do is set the right goals. Your resolutions should be a challenge, but also attainable. To find be more successful, don't chain yourself to the results. Here are some tips to keep revved up and on course.

Four "Ninja Mind Tricks" I discovered...

1. Small chunking

Take your larger goal and break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces.

2. A reward system

Reward yourself at each way point to stay motivated. If you're falling off, hold the rewards until you find your way back.

3. Have a game plan

Map out your plan to succeed your goal using small chunks. Pencil down the way points for rewards as well.

4. Accountability tactics

Make your resolution well known to your friends. They will help keep you on the right track. - 16463
