Chocolate Makes The Perfect Gift For Valentine's Day

By DrJeanaDavidNed57

Finding that perfect gift for your special someone on Valentine's day can be a real chore and sometimes it even seems impossible. The perfect gift has to be special, lavish and just absolutely as perfect as your loved one. Don't be a dud and pick another boring and disappointing gift. It may be predictable but chocolate is never disappointing and with the choices out there you can even find something not so predictable.

Truffles, mints, melties, creams, whites, caramels, delicate darks and decadent milks - whatever you choose will be guaranteed to please. Chocolate is not only delicious, but also it is as much the traditional symbol of love as the red rose.

If you want to get her chocolate but something a little different I would suggest a 'bouquet' of chocolate roses. It's the perfect rose that will never melt, made of yummy white, milk or dark chocolate. If you're really out there you can even have flavored chocolate or make a mixed bouquet of different chocolate roses.

Each rose in your bouquet will be wrapped in shiny red foil and placed on the end of an artificial stem so that it resembles a real rose. The entire bouquet is tied with a ribbon and enclosed in a rose box! She'll see the box and expect traditional roses -- the chocolate will be quite a surprise!

Another possibility you can consider buying is a chocolate gift basket, which is always a good choice if you don't quite know what chocolates she prefers. There are many types of chocolate you can put in your basket: truffles, petit fours, tortes, kisses, and bars. To change it up a bit, you can also add bridge mixes, chocolate-colored teddy bears, dessert wines, champagnes, real roses - anything you think she may desire.

You can choose a traditional box, or a wicker basket, decorative bowl, or even a picnic hamper, to hold the components of your chocolate gift baskets. A selection of exotic chocolate treats will be just the thing to make your sweetie happy, and she will also treasure the basket itself for years to come.

Another popular choice is the traditional box of luxurious chocolates. A box of chocolates is the classic Valentine's gift, but it isn't outdated or clichd! In fact, everyone enjoys a velvet-lined, heart shaped box filled with treats like nut clusters, caramels, crmes, and truffles. If your sweetheart is not able to eat sugar or is dieting, you can choose sugar free chocolates or low-fat chocolates. There are also some more unusual choices for the chocolate box, including chocolate covered pretzels, nuts, and hard-shelled candy.

An unusual selection for a decadent chocolate gift is chocolate covered fruit. Although strawberries are the traditional choice, you can also select from dried apricots, cherries, berries, and other fruits. Each plump piece of fruit is enrobed in a rich shell of milk, white, or dark chocolate -- or a combination of the three. Since fruit is also a symbol of romance and love, combining the two is bound to please. - 16463
